The Greyhound Inn is a well-loved destination in the heart of Letcombe Regis, known for its welcoming atmosphere, reputation for quality food, with 2 AA rosettes and a ‘good’ rating in the Good Food Guide. We are now seeking a talented and passionate Head Chef to lead our kitchen team and help shape the next chapter of our food offering.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced chef who wants creative input, operational responsibility, and the chance to build a reputation for outstanding food in a thriving countryside setting.
What You'll Be Doing
· Leading and inspiring the kitchen team on a day-to-day basis
· Designing and developing distinctive seasonal menus in line with the restaurant's concept
· Maintaining exceptional standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency
· Managing kitchen operations, stock control, ordering, and GP targets
· Ensuring compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations
· Training, mentoring, and developing junior chefs and kitchen staff
· Working closely with management to drive the continued success of the business
We're Looking For Someone Who
· Has previous experience as a 2 Rosette Head Chef or a Senior Sous Chef ready to step up to the challenge
· Is passionate about fresh, seasonal cooking
· Demonstrates strong leadership and team-building skills
· Thrives in a busy service environment
· Has excellent organisational and financial management abilities
· Takes pride in delivering memorable dining experiences
· Brings creativity, energy, and a positive attitude to the role
