- A modern, two-form-entry Voluntary Aided primary school built in 2008, serving families in Blackburn, Lancashire. We also offer nursery provision from the term after a child turns three.

About the role:
- Work with individuals and small groups under the direction of teachers to enrich curriculum learning and support access to lessons.
- Deliver targeted support, including contributing to the implementation of IEPs, EHCPs and care plans, ensuring pupils’ needs are met effectively.
- Promote independence, self-esteem and positive behaviour, supporting pupils to engage with learning tasks and interact positively with others.
- Contribute to planning, resource preparation, record keeping and assessment tasks, and provide feedback on pupil progress.
- Support the wider life of the school, including supervising pupils at breaktimes, accompanying trips and participating in staff meetings and ongoing professional development.
We are looking for someone who:
- Is committed to actively contributing to the Catholic ethos of our school and to promoting its Gospel values.
- Builds positive, respectful relationships with children, staff and families; and is able to motivate, inspire and support children’s learning.
- Communicates clearly and confidently, adapts resources and activities to meet individual needs, and maintains accurate records of pupil progress.
- Responds positively to challenges, works well both independently and as part of a team, and demonstrates a commitment to inclusive practice.
- Holds a Teaching and Learning Level 2 qualification (or equivalent) and shows a commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Competence in ICT is desirable, and experience supporting children with SEND or social communication needs, along with recent primary school experience, would be advantageous.
