About Us
Rainbow Radio Wales is a fast-growing online radio station broadcasting across Wales. We entertain and connect listeners with engaging presenters, great music, and community-focused content.
We are currently expanding our presenting team and are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to join us on-air.
Our Music & Audience
We are a contemporary hit radio station playing the biggest current chart hits, alongside a strong focus on pop, dance, and electronic music.
Our target audience is 18–45-year-olds, with programming designed to be energetic, engaging, and relevant to modern listeners.
Alongside our main playlist, we also broadcast specialist shows, giving presenters the opportunity to explore a wide range of genres including drum & bass, house, techno, rock, indie, country, jazz, Welsh music, throwbacks, and unsigned artists.
We welcome creative show ideas and encourage presenters to bring their own style and personality to the station.
Role: Volunteer Radio Presenter
What you’ll do:
- Present live or pre-recorded radio shows
- Prepare playlists and show content in advance
- Engage listeners through on-air interaction and social media
- Follow station music and broadcasting guidelines
- Work with scheduling and broadcast software (training provided)
- Represent the station professionally on and off air
Presenting Opportunities
We are currently looking for presenters for:
- Breakfast Show (high-energy morning programmes)
- Mid-Morning / Afternoon Shows
- Drive Time Shows
- Evening Shows
- Weekend Shows
- Specialist Music Shows
We also actively welcome unique and original show ideas outside of standard formats.
What we’re looking for:
- Confident and friendly communication skills
- Passion for music and radio
- Reliable and punctual attitude
- Willingness to learn and develop presenting skills
- Ability to engage and entertain an audience
No previous radio experience is required, full training will be provided.
