The Role
We're expanding in London and looking for motivated individuals to join our specialist site teams through our Accelerated Leadership Programme (ALP). This is a hands-on, 'on the tools' role with full training and progression into site leadership.
You'll be based primarily in London, and paid travel from your home to client sites each day. Travel costs will also be reimbursed. Occasional work elsewhere in the UK may be required, with allowances and accommodation provided when necessary.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out weatherproofing installations on commercial sites (rooflights, vertical penetrations, service risers)
- Complete job administration efficiently (job sheets, RAMS, progress photos)
- Communicate effectively with office and site teams
- Represent Jones Weatherproofing to clients
- Manage workload and materials efficiently
- Maintain high standards of quality, pace, and safety on site
Skills & Qualities We’re Looking For
- High level of computer literacy
- Ability to read and interpret basic drawings
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Problem-solving mindset and attention to detail
- Pride in your work
- Responsibility for health and safety – yours and others
Essential
- Full UK driving license
- Valid CSCS card
- Living in Greater London or surrounding areas
- Able to work at height and travel to sites
- Previous site-based or outdoor work experience (specialist experience not required – full training provided)
As You Progress
Gain experience in:
- Managing job administration on systems like DABS/A-Site
- Proactive communication with clients
- Site surveys and project walkarounds
- Developing junior team members into leaders
- Full project management responsibilities
- Opportunities for certifications: SSSTS, PASMA, IPAF, NVQs
Pay & Benefits
- Starting rate: £16 per hour
- Overtime (paid after 40 hours/week):
Weekdays £21.28/hr
Saturday £24/hr (optional)
Sunday £32/hr (optional)
- Estimated total salary: £50,000/year including average overtime
- Travel from home to London sites reimbursed
- Bonuses available
Schedule
- Monday to Friday
- Optional weekend work at enhanced rates
- Typical working hours: 6:30am–5:30pm (does vary)
- Anticipated weekly hours: 40–60
