Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver to assist our Grounds Management teams in various grounds maintenance tasks. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting personnel, machinery and equipment to and from different sites, and contributing to our ground maintenance activities: mowing, strimming, blowing, trimming, weed control, planting and pruning. This role offers an opportunity for individuals with a proven track record for safe driving, a love of outdoor work and, preferably experience operating mowers and strimmers. It will be part time in the first instance. It is essential that you have your own transport.
- Safely operate company vehicles, with trailers, in accordance with road safety regulations and company policies.
- Assist Grounds Management teams in their activities across multiple sites.
- Perform routine vehicle checks and basic mechanical inspections to ensure safety and operational readiness.
- Take instruction from the Team Leader and communicate effectively with team members regarding schedules and and site-specific instructions.
- Adhere to health and safety protocols at all times .
Qualifications
- Over 26 years old with own vehicle and a valid driving licence and a maximum of 6 licence points to comply with insurance requirements.
- Experience in all grounds maintenance tasks is desirable.
- Mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle inspections and minor repairs desirable.
- Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and site personnel.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and lift moderately heavy loads.
- Welsh speaking desirable.
