Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Front of House Supervisor to oversee daily operations within our bustling restaurant. Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of front-of-house staff, including servers and hosts, to ensure smooth service delivery
- Assist with food preparation and serving when necessary, maintaining high standards of quality and presentation
- Oversee customer interactions, resolving any issues promptly to guarantee guest satisfaction
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards across all front-of-house operations
- Manage reservations, seating arrangements, and optimise table turnover efficiently
- Support team management by providing training, guidance, and motivation to staff members
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure seamless communication between front-of-house and food production teams
- Maintain a welcoming environment that reflects the organisation’s hospitality values
Experience
- Proven supervising experience within a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Demonstrable team management skills with the ability to lead and motivate staff effectively
- Extensive restaurant experience, including knowledge of food preparation, serving, and hospitality best practices
- Familiarity with food safety standards and food production processes
- Previous experience in culinary roles such as cooking or barista work is advantageous but not essential
- Experience working in hotel or bar environments can be beneficial
- Strong leadership qualities combined with excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
