Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Level 2 Carer to join our small team. The ideal candidate will have current DBS and a background in providing high-quality care within care homes or home care settings. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your skills in supporting an individual with complex care and a degenerative condition In a private home setting. Full training will be given in order to achieve the individuals needs, and ensuring their well-being. The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering compassionate, personalised care while adhering to care plans and organisational policies. A valid driving licence and good communication skills are essential for this position and it is essential to be able to swim to assist physio in the pool,
Duties
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming in accordance with individual care plans
- Support clients with mobility and daily activities to promote independence and comfort
- Administer medication as prescribed, maintaining accurate records in line with organisational procedures
- Maintain detailed documentation of care provided, ensuring compliance with legal and organisational standards
- Communicate effectively.
- Drive clients to appointments or outings when required, ensuring safety and punctuality
- Contribute to the development and review of personalised care plans in collaboration with family members.
- Uphold health and safety standards within the environment, reporting any concerns promptly
Experience
- Previous experience working as a Carer within a care home or home care setting is essential, ideally at Level 2 or equivalent
- Proven ability to follow detailed care plans and adapt support based on individual needs
- Experience in using IT systems for documentation and communication purposes
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to ensure clear interactions with clients and team members
- Driving experience with a valid licence is desirable for roles involving client transportation
- Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and health & safety regulations relevant to social care environments
