Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Carer to support a disabled gentleman with complex needs. The successful candidate will provide personalised care to promote independence, wellbeing, and comfort. Duties
- Assist with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility support
- Implement and follow individualised care plans to meet specific needs
- Support with medication management and health appointments
- Facilitate social activities and encourage engagement to promote mental wellbeing
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and any changes in condition
- Use IT tools to update care logs and communicate effectively with healthcare professionals
- Drive the client as needed, ensuring safe transportation for appointments or outings
- Communicate clearly with the client, family members, and healthcare teams to ensure consistent care delivery
Experience
- Previous experience working within a care home or providing home care for individuals with complex needs is desirable
- Knowledge of care plans and ability to adapt support accordingly
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, for effective communication
- Basic IT skills for documentation and communication purposes
- Driving licence is essential for safe transportation responsibilities
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build trust and rapport with clients and their families
