Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation within our hotel or hospitality environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with previous experience in hospitality or janitorial services to contribute to a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere for our guests. The Housekeeper will play a vital part in ensuring guest satisfaction through meticulous cleaning and organisation.
Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitise guest rooms, bathrooms, and public areas to the highest standards of hygiene and presentation
- Change bed linens, towels, and replenish amenities as required
- Vacuum, sweep, mop floors, and dust surfaces to maintain a spotless environment
- Report any maintenance issues or damages observed during cleaning duties
- Ensure all cleaning equipment is used safely and stored properly after use
- Follow health and safety procedures diligently to guarantee a safe working environment
- Assist with laundry duties when necessary, including washing, drying, and folding linens and towels
- Maintain organised storage of cleaning supplies and equipment
Requirements
- Previous experience in hotel housekeeping, hospitality, or janitorial services is highly desirable
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to cleanliness and organisation
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
- Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Flexibility to work various shifts including mornings, afternoons, or evenings as required
- A professional attitude with excellent communication skills
- Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks that involve standing for long periods, bending, lifting, and walking throughout the shift
Pay: £13.25 per hour
Expected hours: 28.0 – 38.0 per week
