Job Purpose:
Big Motoring World Group is an expanding car supermarket group that is going from strength to strength and is looking to employ a Wheel Technician at our Preparation Centre Site in Leeds. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast and progressive moving group as well as working alongside experienced technicians to help and support and your career development. We are looking for enthusiastic, reliable individuals with a self-motivating attitude, with an eye for detail and able to work as part of a team within a busy, fast-moving environment.
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, 08:00am – 17:00pm, 40 hrs per week.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Removal and refitting of wheels from vehicles.
- Prepping wheels to our company standards ready for paint.
- Ensure that all work is completed safely and efficiently.
- Ensure that all wheel bolts are tightened to the correct torque setting when refitting the wheels.
- Ensure tyres are inflated to correct specification.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used for each job.
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and company standards.
- Assist in the organisation of workshop tools and materials to ensure a safe working environment.
- Any other ad hoc duties on request.
Essential:
- Prior experience in a similar role is preferred.
- Driving licence required.
Hold a Full UK Driving Licence - Any job offer that requires driving company vehicles is subject to a DVLA check, and applicants with six or more penalty points or a previous disqualification may not meet our insurance requirements and therefore may not be eligible for employment.
