Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of staff during assigned shifts, ensuring smooth operation throughout.
- Oversee food preparation and cooking processes, maintaining high standards of quality and presentation.
- Manage team members, including assigning tasks, providing training, and supporting professional development.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards across all areas of the kitchen and service.
- Monitor stock levels, place orders when necessary, and manage inventory efficiently.
- Handle customer enquiries or complaints professionally, ensuring guest satisfaction at all times.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the work environment, adhering to health and safety guidelines.
- Assist in training new staff members in service procedures, food handling, and safety protocols.
- Support the management team in implementing operational policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Proven supervising experience within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations.
- Experience with food safety standards and regulations.
- Demonstrable leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
- Knowledge of food production processes and hospitality best practices.
- Previous experience working in restaurants, hotels, or similar establishments is highly desirable.
