Job Overview
The Garrick Bar is seeking Temporary Bar Staff to join our team for Fleadh Belfast 2026. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be a part of the world's biggest celebration of Irish music, and also to gain experience in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
Applicants must be available to work at least 3 days in the period from Sunday 2nd August - Sunday 9th August. Day shifts and evening shifts are available. Availability to work the weekend is a must.
We are offering very competitive pay of up to £19.00 per hour.
Successful candidates will be responsible for delivering efficient customer service, preparing and serving beverages, ensuring the bar area maintains high standards of cleanliness and safety, and providing a fun festival experience to all customers! Prior experience in hospitality or retail is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided.
Duties
- Serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to customers in a courteous and timely manner
- Take orders accurately and handle cash or card payments using the POS system
- Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including wiping surfaces and restocking supplies
- Ensure compliance with health, safety and licensing regulations at all times
- Assist in setting up and closing down the bar before and after service
- Manage multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods, demonstrating excellent time management skills
- Collaborate with team members to deliver a seamless customer experience
Experience
- Previous experience in hospitality or serving roles is desirable but not mandatory; training will be provided for suitable candidates
- Basic maths skills are essential for handling payments accurately
- Experience working in a hospitality or retail environment will be advantageous
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts are important for success in this role
