The Role
We are seeking like-minded and reliable people to join our team in our Extrusion Department to join our fast-paced and quality-driven production team. In this role, you will operate modern blown film extrusion lines (including 3 and 5-layer co-extrusion systems) to manufacture a range of high-quality films.
This is a hands-on position requiring attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving. You will play a key role in ensuring production efficiency, maintaining quality standards and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. Full training will be provided on all machinery, processes and quality systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, operate and monitor blown film extrusion lines to meet production requirements (full training provided)
- Adjust machine settings to ensure optimal performance and consistent product quality (full training provided)
- Use touchscreen control systems to monitor output and make real-time adjustments (full training provided)
- Conduct regular quality checks to ensure products meet internal standards and customer specifications (full training provided)
- Maintain accurate production records, including machine settings, output levels and any issues encountered (full training provided)
- Identify, troubleshoot and resolve operational or mechanical issues efficiently (full training provided)
- Handle raw materials safely and ensure correct storage and organisation within the production area (full training provided)
- Work collaboratively with team members and communicate effectively with Team Leaders and the Production Manager
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping and cleanliness across all work areas
- Adhere to all Health & Safety procedures and company policies (full training provided)
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the extrusion process
Requirements
- No previous experience required – full training will be provided on blown film extrusion machinery and processes
- Willingness to learn and develop a strong understanding of the extrusion process and quality control standards
- Ability to learn how to set up and adjust machinery to meet production specifications
- Good problem-solving skills with a willingness to be trained in diagnosing and resolving issues
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- High level of attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to work a rotating continental shift pattern
