We are currently seeking a proactive and experienced Production/Quality Manager with
experience of the printing industry, who can become an integral member of the team.
Demonstrable leadership experience, and people management skills are extremely
important for this role.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Overseeing manufacturing and production processes
- Creating and execute daily, weekly, and monthly schedules
- Ensures all deadlines are met, and associated cost budgets are adhered to
- Monitoring quality control standards, and productivity rates
- Striving to reduce expenses and increase productivity across all product lines
- Training and coaching production operatives on proper production procedures
- Implementing safety, health, environment and quality requirements
- Taking responsibility for the maintenance of factory production equipment
- Maintaining hygienic conditions for both employees and the factory itself
- Implementing all the company’s procedures and policies
- Communicating any problems or obstacles to senior management
- Other duties as assigned
- EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED:
- A bachelor’s degree in production, manufacturing, or a related field.
- Ideally, the candidate has a Certificate in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) or
- Level 3 or Level 5 Certificate in Operations Management.
- The ideal candidate is someone with at least three to five years of plant management or
- operations experience working in a multi-line factory.
- A firm grasp of manufacturing-related activities, specifically production cost control, safety
and quality, is a must.
- experience with lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Strong leadership ability to motivate employees
- Ability to communicate effectively with employees when allocating work and explaining procedures and processes
- Highly developed organizational ability
- Ability to handle multiple tasks without losing focus
