Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Shift Supervisor to oversee daily operations within our busy hospitality environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a background in food preparation and service, and the ability to manage a team effectively. Duties
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of staff during assigned shifts, ensuring smooth operation of the service area.
- Full hands on, food & beverage preparation, maintaining quality standards in line with company policies.
- Manage team members, providing guidance, training, and support to foster a positive working environment.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards across all areas of operation.
- Assist with food production tasks as needed, including preparing ingredients and assembling dishes.
- Monitor customer service levels, addressing any issues promptly to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate records of shift activities, including stock levels and staff attendance.
- Collaborate with management to plan staffing schedules and optimise workflow during busy periods.
- Opening & Closing procedures followed daily.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food & beverage preparation or related culinary roles within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
- Previous supervising or team management experience in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and procedures.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide staff effectively.
- Knowledge of coffees.
- Experience working in hotel or barista environments is advantageous but not essential.
- Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to multitask under pressure.
