Location: Leeds & BradfordContract: Full-time, Term Time Only (Monday–Friday)
If you’ve worked in care, in residential settings, supported living, or community support, you already have the skills that make a brilliant SEN Teaching Assistant: patience, resilience, empathy, and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
What you might be ready for is a better work-life balance.
We’re supporting a number of specialist schools across Leeds and Bradford who are looking for people just like you, experienced in supporting vulnerable individuals, but ready to move into a role with fixed hours, no night shifts, and the consistency of term-time working.
You’ll be supporting children and young people with additional needs including autism, learning disabilities, and social/emotional difficulties. Every day is different, and every day, you’ll make a difference.
What’s different from care work?
- Fixed daytime hours (e.g., 8:30am–3:30pm, Monday to Friday)
- No weekends, no evenings, no overnight shifts
- School holidays off, time to reset and recharge
- A team-focused environment with consistent routines
What we’re looking for:
- Experience in care, support work or similar roles
- Confidence in supporting behaviour and emotional needs
- A proactive, steady, and people-focused personality
We’ll support your transition into education with full training, ongoing guidance, and a warm school community.
If you’re ready for a more sustainable, balanced role, without losing the meaning behind the work, we’d love to hear from you.
