I'm working with a growing independent insurance broker in Leicestershire who are looking to appoint an experienced Commercial Account Handler to support the continued expansion of their commercial team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys building strong client relationships, handling a varied portfolio of commercial business, and working as part of a collaborative team without the pressure of sales targets.
The business has built an excellent reputation across the East Midlands and continues to attract new clients through referrals, reputation and organic growth. As a result, they are looking to strengthen their broking team with an experienced handler who can provide outstanding service to their clients.
The Opportunity
- Manage a varied portfolio of commercial clients across a range of industries
- Work closely with Account Executives to support client retention and growth
- Handle renewals, adjustments, mid-term amendments and new business quotations
- Liaise with insurers to negotiate competitive terms and secure the best outcomes for clients
- Build long-term relationships with clients and become a trusted point of contact
- Work within a supportive and experienced team environment
What You'll Be Doing
- Managing day-to-day servicing of commercial insurance clients
- Preparing renewal documentation and presenting market options
- Handling premiums ranging from SME through to Mid-Corporate risks
- Negotiating with insurers and underwriters
- Supporting Account Executives with client reviews and retention strategies
- Ensuring clients receive a proactive and professional service at all times
What They're Looking For
- Previous experience as a Commercial Account Handler, Account Broker or similar role
- Good technical knowledge across commercial insurance products
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Experience dealing with a wide range of commercial clients
- Acturis experience would be advantageous but is not essential
- A team player who enjoys working in a collaborative environment
