Due to company expansion, we are looking for an experienced Transport Planner to oversee the planning and day-to-day running of our BULK HAULAGE FLEET. You will be responsible for ensuring vehicles and drivers are scheduled efficiently, compliant with DVSA regulations & company policies/procedures, and delivering excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and allocate daily loads for the fleet
- Supervise and support drivers with briefings, compliance, and performance monitoring.
- Liaise with customers to confirm schedules and resolve delivery issues.
- Monitor fleet utilisation, costs, and performance
- Work with workshop teams to minimise downtime and maintain roadworthiness.
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in bulk haulage planning is a must
- TASCC knowledge is preferrable
- Strong knowledge of UK HGV transport regulations including but not limited to Tachograph rulings
- Excellent planning, organisational, and communication skills.
- IT literate (transport management systems & MS Office).
- CPC in Road Haulage (desirable).
