Right at Home Tyneside are looking for Care Assistants who are flexible and reliable to help us provide the highest level of outstanding care for our clients. We have built up a first-class reputation in the Tyneside and rural Northumberland areas and are seeking to add to our close care professional team.
About the Position:
- Hourly rate of £13.68 (plus holiday pay & pension)
- Monthly star carer financial awards, £250 referral scheme and discretionary bonus
- Advance of wages, if required
- Long shifts, with both day and night shifts available in and around Newcastle, Gateshead and Cramlington
- Guaranteed hours with additional shifts available (no zero hour contracts)
- Flexible full and part time hours available around a work / life balance
- Paid induction, shadowing and ongoing training
- Formal training - Care Certificate and NVQ qualifications
- Monthly team meetings with line manager
- Continuity of care with a regular working pattern, recurring shifts and assigned client
About the Work:
We provide care to the elderly and also to adults with physical disabilities, dementia and other neurological conditions.
- Providing personal care and support
- Providing companionship and assisting with socialisation
- Preparing meals of choice and assisting with general housework
- Enabling and promoting independence, including social and work related activities
- Administering medication - providing medication at appropriate times.
- Support with general housekeeping.
About You:
If you have previous experience as a Support Worker or Carer we would love to hear from you. However, if you don’t have experience, we provide full training and encourage candidates from other backgrounds to apply.
What you will need:
- A can do attitude, a caring nature and willing to go the extra mile .
- Be passionate about providing excellent care.
- Able to work every other weekend.
- The right to work in the UK (we do not offer sponsorship).
The position is subject to an enhanced DBS check and suitable references.
