We are seeking an experienced and proactive Fabrication Supervisor to oversee our clients manufacturing operations.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing fabrication teams, ensuring safety standards, maintaining quality control, and optimising production efficiency.
Pay rate: up to £20.00 per hour
Hours of work: Monday - Friday 8.00am - 5.00pm
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily fabrication activities, ensuring adherence to project specifications and deadlines.
- Lead, motivate, and develop fabrication team members to optimise productivity and maintain high standards of workmanship.
- Monitor safety protocols and ensure all team members comply with health and safety regulations.
- Oversee quality control procedures, inspecting fabricated components to meet quality standards.
- Collaborate with engineering and planning teams to schedule work orders and resource allocation effectively.
- Maintain accurate documentation of production processes, materials used, and labour hours.
- Identify areas for process improvement and implement best practices to enhance operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with organisational policies, environmental regulations, and industry standards.
Requirements
- At least 5 years welding experience
- One year experience at Team lead or supervisory level.
- Strong understanding of fabrication techniques, materials, and safety procedures.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively under pressure.
- Knowledge of health and safety legislation relevant to manufacturing operations.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Relevant technical qualifications or certifications in manufacturing or engineering are desirable.
