Preschool Manager (Maternity Cover)
Location: NR12, Norfolk
Salary: £15.00 per hour
Hours: 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 2:30pm (flexibility available for the right candidate, including a 4-day working week)
Contract: Fixed-Term Maternity Cover (September 2026 – July 2027)
Start Date: As soon as possible
About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Preschool Manager to join our friendly, small preschool setting in the NR12 area of Norfolk. This is a maternity cover position running from September 2026 to July 2027, with an immediate start preferred to allow for a thorough induction and handover with the current manager.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced early years professional looking to take the next step in their career within a supportive and nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day running of the preschool.
- Manage and support a small team of staff.
- Ensure high standards of care, learning, and development for all children.
- Maintain compliance with EYFS requirements, safeguarding procedures, and Ofsted standards.
- Build positive relationships with children, parents, carers, and external professionals.
- Oversee administration, planning, and operational duties within the setting.
Requirements
- Minimum Level 3 Early Years qualification.
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience within an early years setting.
- Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and safeguarding requirements.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- A positive, caring, and proactive approach.
