We are recruiting SEN & Behaviour Teachers to work across specialist schools in Scarborough, supporting pupils who need tailored teaching approaches in calm, structured learning environments.
This role is ideal for teachers who want to continue making an impact in education, while having more control over when and how often they work, without the pressures of full-time classroom commitments.
About the role
You will be working with children and young people with:
Special Educational Needs (SEN)
Social, Emotional & Mental Health needs (SEMH)
Behavioural and learning difficulties
You will be placed across a range of specialist school settings in Scarborough, delivering engaging, adapted teaching to support progress and positive outcomes.
Key responsibilities
- Delivering tailored lessons to meet individual learning needs
- Supporting pupils with behaviour, emotional regulation and engagement
- Adapting teaching approaches to suit a range of abilities and needs
- Working closely with SENCOs, support staff and pastoral teams
- Creating a safe, structured and supportive learning environment
- Monitoring pupil progress and encouraging positive outcomes
