Job Overview
This is a rare opportunity for a Dental Hygienist to join the fantastic team at Great Haywood Dental Practice as one of our hygienists retires from our fully Private practice. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality preventative dental care, assisting with patient education, and supporting the overall oral health of our patients. They will have the assistance of an experienced qualified nurse at all times in a well equipped fully computerised surgery with seperate clinician and nurses terminals, digital xrays and intra0oral imaging. Appointment lengths are not less than 30 minutes, with 40, 60 and 80 minute appointments also when required. Patients are well motivated with a large proportion who are well maintained and stable. Duties
- Perform dental prophylaxis, including scaling and polishing of teeth to prevent decay and gum disease
- Conduct oral health assessments and record findings accurately in patient records
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and personalised care plans
- Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety
- Maintain sterilisation protocols and ensure all dental instruments are properly disinfected
- Keep detailed documentation of treatments provided and patient progress
- Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient records
Requirements
- recognised qualification as a Dental Hygienist with valid registration with relevant regulatory bodies
- Strong understanding of human anatomy, particularly oral anatomy, to accurately assess patient conditions
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple patients efficiently
- Compassionate approach with excellent communication skills to educate and reassure patients
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment

Pay: £40.00-£45.00 per hour
