We have an exciting opportunity for a Retail & Buys Assistant to join our team in Cambridge. This is a full-time, permanent role, working 40 hours per week between Monday and Saturday.
About the Role
In this role, you will:
- Buy and sell pre-owned goods to customers in-store
- Promote products using effective sales techniques
- Engage with customers, ask the right questions, and understand their needs
- Provide tailored advice to help customers find the right product
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- Good knowledge of modern gadgets (mobile phones, tablets, PCs, gaming consoles) and/or jewellery
- Previous retail experience (an advantage)
- Confidence in negotiating and demonstrating products
- Excellent communication and listening skills
- Strong attention to detail and time management
- Basic computer literacy
- Ability to work under pressure
- A team-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve and maximise sales targets while maintaining the company’s image
- Deliver outstanding customer service through strong product knowledge
- Demonstrate products and identify additional sales opportunities
- Maintain high standards of merchandising and store presentation
- Replenish stock and ensure excellent housekeeping standards
- List products on the Cash Converters webstore
- Take part in ongoing training and development
