Description
Little London Academy is seeking an enthusiastic Level 3 Apprentice Teaching Assistant to join its growing team. We are now looking to recruit an Apprentice Teaching Assistant to join the team at Little London Acadamy. This is a vital and rewarding role, supporting the learning and development of pupils and contributing to an inclusive, nurturing learning environment.
About the Role
The successful candidate will work under the guidance of teaching and senior staff, typically within a classroom setting. You will help pupils access learning, support their personal development, and assist in the day-to-day running of the provision. This role offers hands-on experience in a specialist setting, making a genuine difference in pupils’ lives.
Apprenticeship Summary
Duties Will Include:
- Supporting students in their learning.
- Building positive relationships and acting as a role model.
- Promoting inclusion and the acceptance of all pupils.
- Encouraging independence and active engagement.
- Assisting with classroom preparation and routine admin tasks.
- Monitoring student progress and contributing to a positive learning environment.
- Ensuring compliance with safeguarding, health and safety, and data protection policies.
- Participating in training, team meetings, and professional development.
- Supervising students during non-classroom times (e.g. lunch, visits, breaks).
- Undertaking other relevant duties as required by the academy.

Training to be provided
- Your training will be provided in the workplace with monthly support from your vocational coach, who will either visit you on site to observe your practice and develop your knowledge, skills and behaviours, or meet you via teams link for teaching and discussion
- The programme of learning is a blend of theory and hands on practical experiences with access to an e portfolio and on line Learning Hub with a wealth of resources
- Your training will be provided by Aire Vocational Training, part of the Aspiration Training Group, specialising in Teaching Assistants and the Early Years.
- Our tutors are experienced and knowledgeable with a passion for supporting the education and development of children.
- You will be on programme for around 18 months (15 months practical teaching and up to 3 months for end point assessment)and throughout your training you will be supported to prepare for the Apprenticeship Assessment which will be conducted by an external assessment organisation and will include an observation of practice in school and a professional discussion underpinned by a showcase porfolio of evidence.
