Measured Surveyor / Architectural Technician
We are looking for a capable and reliable Measured Surveyor / Architectural Technician to join our team, supporting residential projects across a range of sites.
The role will involve visiting properties to carry out measured building surveys, recording existing layouts, levels, elevations, key dimensions and site information, before drawing up accurate existing plans, elevations and sections in ArchiCAD.
This role would suit someone with a background in architecture, surveying, measured building surveys or architectural technology. You must be confident attending site, taking clear and accurate measurements, understanding existing buildings, and translating survey information into well-presented CAD drawings.
ArchiCAD experience is essential. Revit experience would be desirable, but is not essential.
A full UK driving licence is required, as the role will involve travelling to different sites to carry out measured surveys.
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out measured building surveys on residential properties.
- Recording accurate site dimensions, layouts, levels, elevations and key details.
- Taking clear site notes, photographs and reference information.
- Drawing up existing plans, elevations and sections from survey information.
- Producing accurate ArchiCAD models and drawings.
- Identifying any discrepancies or missing information following a survey.
- Working with the wider architectural team to ensure existing drawings are complete and reliable.
- Travelling to different sites as required.
Essential Requirements
- Strong experience using ArchiCAD.
- Experience carrying out measured surveys or drawing up existing buildings.
- Good understanding of residential buildings and construction.
- Ability to produce accurate existing plans, elevations and sections.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Confident working independently on site.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Willingness to travel to various project locations.
Desirable Experience
- Revit experience.
- Experience with residential extensions, conversions and refurbishments.
- Experience using laser measures, survey equipment or 3D scanning tools.
- Architectural technology, architecture or surveying background.
The Role
This is a practical, detail-focused role suited to someone who enjoys working both on site and in CAD. Accuracy is essential, as the drawings produced will form the foundation for design, planning and technical work.
We are looking for someone dependable, organised and confident in producing clear, accurate existing building information.
