Stock Controller
Location: Newtown, Powys

Hours: Full-time (flexibility may be considered for the right candidate)
Salary: £28,000–£35,000 per annum, depending on experience
About the Role
Motor Control Warehouse is looking for a proactive and organised Stock Controller to take responsibility for managing the flow of goods into and out of our warehouse in Newtown, Powys.
This is a key role within the business, ensuring stock accuracy, efficient warehouse operations, and excellent customer service. The successful candidate will work closely with purchasing, sales, and warehouse teams to maintain high standards of stock control and inventory management.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing all goods-in and goods-out processes
- Booking in deliveries and checking goods received against purchase orders
- Ensuring accurate stock records are maintained at all times
- Investigating and resolving stock discrepancies
- Organising and conducting regular stock counts and annual stock takes
- Co-ordinating dispatches
- Helping with packing orders
- Maintaining warehouse inventory systems and records
- Liaising with suppliers, couriers, and internal departments
- Monitoring stock levels and highlighting replenishment requirements
- Producing stock and inventory reports for management
Skills and Experience
Essential:
- Previous experience in stock control, inventory management, warehouse administration, or logistics
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Excel
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Ability to prioritise workload and work independently
Desirable:
- Previous experience in stock control, inventory management, warehouse administration, or logistics
- Experience in an engineering, electrical, industrial, or distribution environment
