What You’ll Be Doing
- Supporting People to Thrive
- Build genuine, trusting relationships.
- Deliver person-centred support tailored to individual goals.
- Promote independence, confidence and choice.
- Support with daily living tasks and self-management.
- Arrange and attend medical appointments when needed.
- Encourage community access, social inclusion and new experiences.
- Support positive behaviour using approved approaches.
- Help people stay connected with family, friends and networks.
- Take part in support plan reviews and key worker meetings.
- Being Part of a Strong Team
- Share information and support colleagues.
- Contribute ideas to improve the service.
- Help welcome and support new team members.
- Attend and engage in team meetings.
- Participate in supervision and training.
You’ll need to be flexible and ready to step up when the service needs you — because great teams support each other.
_ Essential_
- NVQ/QCF Level 2 in Health & Social Care (or willingness to work towards).
- Willingness to have an Enhanced DBS with Adults Barred check.
- Calm under pressure.
- Confident using your initiative.
- Organised and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong people skills and a passion for delivering excellent support.
- A positive role model who leads by example.
Desirable
- Experience supporting people with learning disabilities or complex needs.
- Understanding of Positive Behaviour Support.
- Experience with cloud-based systems.
