Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using the point-of-sale system
- Serve meals and drinks promptly while maintaining presentation standards
- Ensure guest satisfaction by checking in throughout their dining experience
- Handle special requests and dietary requirements with care and attention
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and maximise sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of tables, service stations, and dining areas
- Follow food safety procedures diligently during food preparation and serving
- Assist in setting up or clearing tables as needed to ensure smooth operations
- Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate timely service
Skills
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service is advantageous
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and food handling procedures
- Excellent guest service skills with a friendly, approachable manner
- Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tables efficiently
- Basic maths skills for processing payments accurately
- Knowledge of food preparation or culinary techniques is beneficial but not essential
- Time management skills to ensure timely delivery of orders under pressure
- Ability to upsell menu items tactfully to enhance guest satisfaction and sales performance
- Kitchen experience or familiarity with restaurant operations can be an added advantage
