Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Pub Operator to oversee daily operations within our vibrant pub environment. This is a 'Live in' opportunity. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and a comprehensive understanding of food and beverage service. This role involves supervising staff, ensuring excellent customer experiences, and maintaining high standards of cellar management, food safety and cleanliness. The Pub Operator will be responsible for managing all aspects of pub operations, from food preparation to team management, including events and entertainment in a fast-paced setting.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily pub operations, ensuring smooth service delivery and high standards of customer satisfaction.
- Supervise and lead team members, including bar staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Manage food preparation and cooking processes, ensuring quality control and adherence to food safety regulations.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards across all operational areas.
- Handle customer enquiries and resolve any issues promptly to maintain excellent service standards.
- Supervise bar operations, including drink service, stock management, and ensuring responsible alcohol service.
- Implement training programmes for staff development in hospitality best practices.
- Maintain accurate records of sales, stock levels, and staff schedules.
Requirements
- Proven experience in restaurant or pub environments
- Supervising experience with team management skills essential for leading diverse staff members effectively.
- Experience in serving customers in a hospitality setting; barista experience is advantageous.
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate teams and foster a collaborative work environment.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently under pressure.
- Previous experience in pub operations is desirable but not essential.
