Registered Manager - 3 bed EBD home.
£55-£65k plus bonus
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Manager to oversee the daily operations of a beautiful Children's Home situated in Shrewsbury. This is a three bed home, currently rated in good in all areas by Ofsted and has a supportive team in place.
The successful candidate will be welcomed into an organisation that is passionate about delivering the very best outcomes for both the children in their care and the teams who make amazing things happen. With 4 homes currently and looking to grow within time, the organisation is keen to foster a collaborative culture, where ideas are listened to. In turn you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality care tailored to the needs of children and young people. The position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of vulnerable children while leading a dedicated team.
Duties
- Lead and manage the overall operation of the Children's Home, ensuring compliance with all statutory regulations and organisational policies.
- Develop, implement, and review personalised care plans in collaboration with children, families, and multi-disciplinary teams.
- Supervise and support care staff, providing leadership, guidance, and ongoing professional development.
- Oversee staff recruitment, training, performance management, and rotas to ensure adequate staffing levels at all times.
- Maintain accurate records relating to children's progress, safeguarding concerns, medication administration, and incident reports.
- Ensure safeguarding procedures are strictly adhered to and promote a culture of safety within the home.
- Liaise with external agencies such as social services, health professionals specialising in nursing or dementia care, and education providers.
- Monitor the quality of care provided and implement continuous improvement strategies.
- Manage budgets and resources efficiently to ensure the effective running of the home.
- Promote positive behaviour strategies and organise activities that support children's development and well-being.
Qualifications
- Level 5 in Leadership & Management or working towards
- Level 3/4 in Children and Young People.
- Compassionate approach with excellent communication skills tailored towards working with children and young people.
- 2 Years experience in a supervisory role within children's residential.
Pay: £55,000.00-£65,000.00 per year
