Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during examinations and treatments, ensuring procedures run smoothly and efficiently
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilising instruments and ensuring all necessary equipment is ready
- Provide patient care before, during, and after dental procedures, offering reassurance and support
- Take and develop dental X-rays as required, adhering to safety protocols
- Maintain accurate patient records using IT systems and ensure confidentiality at all times
- Ensure the cleanliness and organisation of the clinical environment in compliance with health and safety standards
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions
- Support administrative tasks such as appointment scheduling and patient correspondence
Skills
- Strong patient care skills with a compassionate approach towards individuals of all ages
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Knowledge of nursing principles relevant to dental care and infection control procedures
- Proficiency in IT systems for record keeping and appointment management
- Organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a busy clinical setting
- Ability to work effectively within a team, demonstrating good interpersonal skills
- Adaptability to handle various situations calmly and professionally
