We are an independent modern British restaurant, recently taken over by a new owner.
We are looking to expand our Waiting team with experienced team members who have knowledge, passion and fore thought in the dining and hospitality sector, to support our dedicated core team.
We are keen to maintain our positive, supportive working environment and culture for all of the team.
The Glasshouse is currently open Sunday to Thursday 9:00 to 17:00, and Friday and Saturdays 9:00 to 00: 00. Longer term we are planning to open more evenings, and are looking to expand the team to accommodate this.
Job Summary
We are seeking passionate and dynamic Table Waiters and Team Leaders, to support our team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. As a key member of our operation, you will be responsible for the guest experience from a waiting service perspective. This will involves ensuring a high standard of waiting service, an ability to recognise food quality, guest and team safety, and self presentation. Your skills will inspire your team to excel in a high quality, fast-paced environment while maintaining a focus on customer satisfaction and team efficiency. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your experience and contribute to creating memorable dining moments for our guests.
Responsibilities
- Weekend availability is vital, additional weekday shifts may become available on an adhoc basis, and more permanent from late spring,
- Lead a section of 20-30 guests with a team whilst fostering a collaborative and motivated work environment with the waiting and chef team,
- Understand your guests needs and wishes and provide feedback to support and develop innovative menus that align with our brand standards and customer preferences,
- Participate in food and drink training, ensuring consistent quality, and adherence to food safety regulations
- Serve at events, banquets, and special functions with attention to detail and timely execution, with the guests experience as the focus point
- Develop an interest in management activities, including training and performance evaluations to support team development
Skills
- Extensive experience with a background in premium dining service as a section leader or lead waiter.
- Proven experience in high-volume environments
- Knowledge of dietary requirements and experience working with allergens
- Strong skills in food knowledge, menu feedback, and food service
- Excellent leadership abilities with a focus on team leadership, role modelling and motivating staff toward shared goals
- Familiarity with food safety standards, HACCP principles, and proper food handling procedures
- Not essential but beneficial: Experience in shift management, and privately owned restaurant experience is highly desirable

Pay: £12.21-£14.00 per hour
