To help us continue building on this success, we’re looking for a Business Development / Growth Manager to help identify and generate opportunities for our agencies in the North (McCann Manchester and McCann Leeds).

The Part You’ll Play…
As Growth Manager, you’ll play a critical role in driving growth across the agency by proactively opening doors with new prospects and building a strong, sustainable pipeline of opportunities.
Working closely with the Growth leadership team, you’ll be responsible for identifying and engaging target brands, maintaining momentum across conversations, and supporting the early stages of proposals and tender responses.
Key Responsibilities
Prospecting & Outreach
- Proactively identify and engage target brands, using our portfolio of award-winning work, tools, thought leadership and creative ‘value-adds’ to open doors and create meaningful conversations.
- Use of LinkedIn, email, in-person events and other channels to engage with key decision makers.
Pipeline Management
- Own and manage the new business pipeline, ensuring all opportunities are tracked, progressed and kept warm through strategic follow-ups.
- Maintain and evolve target account lists, including tracking key contacts, monitoring market signals to identify timely opportunities.
Proposals & Tender Support
- Contribute to the development of case studies, credentials and tender documentation (RFIs, PQQs, ITTs), ensuring responses are clear, compelling and on time.
As a Business Development Manager You’ll Bring…
Must-have requirements:
- Proven experience in a business development, recruitment, sales or growth role, with a strong track record in proactive outreach and lead generation
- Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple opportunities and keep momentum across a pipeline
- Commercially minded, with an understanding of how to identify and qualify high-potential opportunities
- Experience supporting proposals, case studies, pitch materials or tender documentation is highly desirable – excellent written skills.
Nice to have:
- Background in a B2B environment (agency, media, professional services or similar) preferred
