Senior Transport Planner
Croydon Area
£35,000+ per annum | Monday to Friday | Permanent Role
Pin Point Recruitment is currently recruiting for an experienced Transport Planner to join a busy and professionally managed logistics operation based in the Croydon area.
This is a key position within the transport team and would suit somebody with strong planning experience who is confident managing a fast-paced operation while maintaining high standards across compliance, communication and organisation.
This is not an entry-level role. Previous transport planning experience is essential and the business is looking for somebody capable of bringing structure, reliability and strong operational awareness into the team.
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday
- 07:00 – 17:00
- Full-time permanent position
The Role
- Planning and coordinating daily transport operations
- Allocating routes and workloads efficiently
- Managing driver schedules and vehicle availability
- Communicating with drivers, customers and operational teams throughout the day
- Supporting compliance with Drivers’ Hours and transport legislation
- Managing operational issues calmly and professionally
- Liaising with workshop teams regarding defects and maintenance scheduling
- Maintaining accurate transport records and operational systems
- Supporting improvements across operational processes and efficiencies
Requirements
- Previous Transport Planner experience essential
- Strong geographical knowledge
- Good understanding of transport compliance and Drivers’ Hours rules
- Experience using transport planning systems
- Ability to work well under pressure within a busy transport office
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Professional and solution-focused approach
