Overview
Eliana Cares is seeking an experienced, passionate, and dedicated Registered Manager to lead our children’s residential home supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN), Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), learning disabilities, and additional complex needs.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall leadership, management, and development of the home, ensuring the highest standards of care, safeguarding, compliance, and therapeutic support are consistently delivered.

Main Responsibilities
Leadership & Management
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the children’s home.
- Ensure the home operates in line with Ofsted regulations, Children’s Homes Regulations 2015, and Quality Standards.
- Lead, motivate, and support the staff team to deliver high-quality care.
- Promote a positive, therapeutic, and nurturing culture within the home.
- Develop and maintain effective staffing structures and rotas.
- Conduct staff supervisions, appraisals, and performance management.
- Support staff development, training, and induction.
SEN & Learning Disabilities Support
- Ensure care practices are tailored to meet the individual needs of children with learning disabilities, autism, communication difficulties, sensory needs, and behavioural challenges.
- Promote inclusive, person-centred approaches.
- Work closely with therapists, schools, families, and external professionals.
- Ensure communication systems and behaviour support strategies are consistently implemented.
- Support children to develop independence, emotional regulation, social skills, and life skills.
Safeguarding & Compliance
- Ensure safeguarding procedures are robust and always followed.
- Manage incidents, risk assessments, and safeguarding concerns appropriately.
- Maintain compliance with Ofsted requirements and prepare for inspections.
- Ensure policies, records, and documentation are accurate and up to date.
- Monitor medication systems, health and safety, and fire safety compliance.
Child-Centred Practice
- Promote positive outcomes for children and young people.
- Ensure children’s wishes, feelings, and voices are heard.
- Build positive relationships with children, families, social workers, and professionals.
- Support educational attendance and achievement.
- Encourage participation in activities and community engagement.
Operational Responsibilities
- Monitor occupancy and referrals.
- Participate in recruitment and safer recruitment practices.
- Ensure the home maintains high standards of cleanliness, maintenance, and presentation.
- Provide on-call support where required.
Essential Requirements
- Minimum Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or willingness to complete within required timeframe).
- Previous experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager within children’s residential care.
- Strong experience supporting children with SEN, autism, and learning disabilities.
- Excellent understanding of Ofsted regulations and safeguarding procedures.
- Experience managing behaviours that challenge.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Ability to lead and inspire a multidisciplinary team.
- Enhanced DBS check.
Desirable Requirements
- Experience within therapeutic or trauma-informed environments.
- Experience working alongside speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, behaviour specialists, or clinical teams.
- Knowledge of PECS, Makaton, sensory integration, or positive behaviour support approaches.
- Experience opening or developing a new children’s home.

Pay: £30,000.00-£40,000.00 per month
