About the Role
Love My Human is looking for a confident and caring Intermediate Dog Groomer to join our grooming team.
This role would suit someone who is already comfortable completing full grooms independently and is looking to continue developing their technical grooming skills in a busy, supportive salon environment.
We are looking for someone with at least 2 years of professional experience who can carry out good-quality pet grooms from start to finish, including bathing, drying, clipping, styling and general scissor finishing. Advanced specialist skills such as Asian Fusion, hand stripping or show-level breed styling are desirable but not essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete full grooms from start to finish to a high standard.
- Bathe, dry, brush, clip and style dogs according to customer requirements and coat condition.
- Carry out general scissor finishing, including shaping legs, feet, faces, ears and tails where required.
- Work safely and confidently with dogs of different breeds, sizes, temperaments and coat types.
- Assess coat condition and identify any matting, skin issues, parasites or health concerns, escalating where needed.
- Discuss grooming requirements clearly and professionally with clients where required.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised grooming area.
- Follow salon procedures, health and safety guidance, and animal welfare standards.
- Support the wider grooming team during busy periods.
- Help create a calm, kind and positive experience for every dog in our care.
- Work well under pressure – we operate a busy salon and often have multiple dogs in a short space of time
About You
The ideal candidate will:
- Have at least 2 years of dog grooming experience in a professional grooming salon.
- ICMG, City & Guilds Level 3 Dog Grooming qualification or equivalent.
- Be confident completing full pet grooms independently.
- Have good clipper and scissor skills.
- Be comfortable working with a variety of breeds and coat types.
- Have good dog handling skills and a calm, patient approach.
- Take pride in producing neat, safe and consistent grooms.
- Be reliable, organised and able to manage time well in a busy salon.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues and clients.
- Care strongly about dog welfare and the customer experience.

Schedule
- Full-time hours - 5 days (40-43 hours) a week
