Our well-established manufacturing client is seeking production operatives to join their team on the workshop floor.
- Job Title: Production Operative
- Pay: £13.50 per hour
- Job Type: Full Time; Temporary Ongoing
- Shifts: Option 1: Monday - Thursday 7am - 5:30pm; Option 2 Monday - Thursday 7:30am - 4:30pm, Friday 7:30 am - 2:00 pm (40 hour week)
- Location: Holsworthy
Responsibilities of the Production Operative:
- Assemble sheet metal components
- Knock off/shake off edges and machined (bent, cut or pressed
- Load materials into the machine and adjust to ensure accurate cutting and forming
- Monitor the machine during operation to detect malfunctions and make necessary adjustments
- Lift, move and carry safely large and heavy pieces of metal
- May be trained to operate a punch or press machines to cut, shape, and form metal
- Adhere to manual handling and health and safety regulations
Requirements of the Production Operative:
- Experience in a factory environment (metal works experience is advantageous
- Performing quality checks on finished products
- Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
- Flexibility is essential
- Able to carry and move heavy parts (up to 25 kg)
