Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Night/Day Care Assistants to join our care team. This role offers an opportunity to provide high-quality support to individuals in a caring environment, whether during the day or overnight shifts. The ideal candidate will be committed to enhancing the well-being of residents and ensuring a safe, comfortable, and respectful atmosphere. Previous experience in care home or home care settings is advantageous, but full training will be provided for suitable applicants. This position is paid and suitable for those who are organised, reliable, and possess excellent communication skills.
Duties
- Support residents with daily activities such as personal care, mobility, and medication reminders in accordance with individual care plans
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding as required
- Monitor residents’ health and wellbeing, reporting any concerns to senior staff promptly
- Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment within the care setting
- Engage residents in social activities and companionship to promote mental and emotional well-being
- Document care provided accurately using IT systems and ensure compliance with organisational policies
- Communicate effectively with residents, colleagues, and families to ensure personalised care delivery
- Support residents during night or day shifts by providing reassurance and assistance as needed
Requirements
- Previous experience working in a care home or providing home care is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided for motivated applicants
- Valid driving licence is advantageous for roles involving community visits or outings
- Good command of English language skills for effective communication with residents and team members
- Basic IT skills for documentation and communication purposes
- Excellent communication skills with a caring attitude towards residents’ needs
- Ability to work flexible hours including night or day shifts as required
- Organised, reliable, and able to work independently or as part of a team
- Compassionate nature with a genuine interest in supporting vulnerable individuals

Pay: £12.71-£13.00 per hour
