Refuge Support Worker
- Salary up to £27,565
- £24 on-call retainer per night
- Approx. 1 on-call night per week
- 28 days annual leave + 8 bank holidays

We are recruiting for a dedicated Refuge Support Worker to support vulnerable individuals and families affected by domestic abuse across refuge and community services.
The successful Refuge Support Worker will provide practical and emotional support, complete safeguarding assessments, and work closely with external agencies. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Refuge Support Worker looking to make a real difference. The ideal Refuge Support Worker will be calm, empathetic, organised, and passionate about supporting vulnerable people.
Duties of the Refuge Support Worker
- Support individuals and families affected by domestic abuse
- Complete risk and safeguarding assessments
- Create support and safety plans
- Provide practical and emotional support
- Maintain accurate case records
- Liaise with police, social services, and external agencies
- Support clients with housing and benefits access
- Promote independence and wellbeing
Requirements for the Refuge Support Worker
- Experience supporting vulnerable people
- Strong safeguarding awareness
- Excellent communication skills
- Good organisation and time management
- Empathetic and resilient approach
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
