Overview
We are seeking a professional Class 1 Driver to operate commercial vehicles during daytime hours. The ideal candidate will possess a strong driving record and experience in delivering goods efficiently and safely. Duties
- Safely operate Class 1 lorries, including flatbed vehicles, on designated routes during daytime shifts
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after journeys to ensure roadworthiness
- Deliver goods promptly to various clients, adhering to scheduled delivery times
- Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, including delivery notes and mileage records
- Follow all traffic laws and company policies to ensure safety at all times
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery schedules or any issues encountered during transit
Qualifications
- Valid Class 1 (C+E) driving licence with a clean driving record
- Proven experience as a commercial driver, particularly with flatbed vehicles and delivery routes
- Knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for secure cargo handling
- Ability to operate flatbed trucks confidently and safely
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in documentation and route planning
- Excellent communication skills to liaise professionally with clients and team members
- Flexibility to work during daytime hours, with a commitment to punctuality and safety standards
