Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance. This role is vital in ensuring the comfort and well-being of our clients, whether they are seniors, or individuals with specific health conditions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to delivering high-quality care and will be skilled in various caregiving tasks.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Support clients with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary.
- Assist with meal preparation and ensure dietary needs are met.
- Offer companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities to enhance their quality of life.
- Administer medication as prescribed and monitor health conditions.
- Provide specialised care for individuals with dementia or other cognitive impairments.
- Assist clients in assisted living or hospice care settings as required.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients at all times.
Skills
- Experience in senior care is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of dementia care techniques and patient care best practices.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build trusting relationships with clients and their families.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help others.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing client needs and schedules.
Additional Requirements
Full UK driver's license with less than 6 points as this is a domicillary care job.
