Hours: Monday to Friday | Start times typically between 5:00am – 7:00am
Salary: £16.72 per hour | Guaranteed 45 hours per week
Annual Salary: £39,272.28
Overtime: £18.39 per hour | Paid daily
Start Date: Immediate start preferred
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 1 year Class 2 driving experience
- Valid Class 2 licence with no more than 6 penalty points
- Digital Tachograph Card and valid Driver Qualification Card (DQC)
- Good knowledge of UK road networks, tachograph legislation, driving limits, and Working Time Directive
- Must be confident driving in London
- Willingness to complete occasional overnight stays (typically once per week)
- Strong customer service skills and professional attitude
The Role
Reporting to the Transport Manager, this role is responsible for delivering a safe, reliable, and professional transport service across the UK.
The successful candidate will complete multi-drop deliveries while ensuring full compliance with transport legislation, company procedures, and health & safety standards. This is a hands-on role requiring strong attention to detail, flexibility, and excellent customer service skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete multi-drop deliveries across the UK
- Ensure full compliance with EU driving hours, tachograph legislation, and company transport procedures
- Carry out vehicle checks before and after shifts
- Load and unload deliveries safely and efficiently
- Operate and maintain vehicles to a high standard
- Report vehicle defects, incidents, delays, or delivery issues promptly
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain professional communication with customers
- Keep vehicles clean and presentable inside and out
- Complete occasional yard shunting duties
- Conduct dynamic risk assessments and report any safety concerns
- Assist with scheduled vehicle maintenance and refuelling
- Work collaboratively with the transport and operations teams
Skills & Experience
- Valid Class 2 licence with no AC, BA, CD, DD, DR, IN, TT or UT endorsements
- Experience using manual pump trucks, tail lifts, and coupling/uncoupling trailers
- Strong understanding of UK road transport regulations
- Good geographical knowledge of the UK
- Manual handling experience and ability to work in a physically demanding role
- Ability to work to time-sensitive deadlines and prioritise workload effectively
- Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills

- Flexible attitude towards working hours and operational requirements
