We're looking for an experienced Operational Resilience & ThirdParty Risk Manager to join our First Line Risk team at Hampshire Trust Bank.
This role will lead the bank's operational resilience programme, ensuring our frameworks, governance and resilience capabilities continue to evolve in line with regulatory requirements and industry best practice.
You'll take ownership of Operational Resilience across the organisation, including Important Business Service mapping, scenario testing, resilience selfassessments and vulnerability management. You'll also provide oversight across Business Continuity Management, ThirdParty Risk Management and Business Incident Management, helping ensure the bank can continue delivering critical services to customers during periods of disruption.
This is an excellent opportunity to influence the strategic direction of operational resilience across the bank while building strong relationships with senior stakeholders and driving meaningful change.
Operational Resilience

Own and continuously enhance the bank's Operational Resilience framework, methodologies and governance

Lead the identification and mapping of Important Business Services, impact tolerances and supporting resources

Design and deliver a robust scenario testing programme covering severe but plausible disruption events

Own the annual Operational Resilience selfassessment and associated remediation plans
-
Chair the Operational Resilience Forum, driving accountability, governance and risk visibility

Track, manage and coordinate remediation of operational resilience vulnerabilities

Coordinate resilience activities across Business Continuity, Incident Management, Service Resilience, Operational Risk, IT Disaster Recovery, Cyber Security and ThirdParty Risk Management
Business Continuity Management
-
Lead the bank's Business Continuity Management framework and ongoing maturity programme

Drive completion and maintenance of Business Impact Assessments (BIAs) and Business Continuity Plans (BCPs)

Provide challenge, assurance and guidance to business areas on continuity planning

Identify gaps and opportunities to improve resilience and recovery arrangements
ThirdParty Risk Management

Ensure thirdparty risk is effectively represented within Operational Resilience governance
-
Provide SME oversight of supplier resilience and critical service dependencies
-
Support onboarding, governance and resilience assessments of material suppliers
-
Contribute to supplier exit planning and resilience scenario testing
Business Incident Management

Act as Incident Lead on a rota basis during operational incidents

Coordinate incident response, governance, communications and escalation activities

Drive lessons learned and continuous improvement following incidents and testing exercises

Qualifications & Experience

Strong experience in Operational Resilience within Financial Services
-
Good understanding of FCA and PRA Operational Resilience requirements
-
Proven experience delivering resilience frameworks, including Important Business Service mapping, scenario testing and selfassessments
-
Experience leading Business Continuity Management programmes and driving business adoption
-
Working knowledge of ThirdParty Risk Management and supplier resilience
-
Experience in incident response or Business Incident Management
-
Strong stakeholder management experience, including influencing senior leaders

Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
