We are seeking a skilled and passionate Head Chef to join our team. As a Head Chef at Grappa, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our kitchen, ensuring the highest quality of food preparation and presentation. Duties:
- Prepare and cook a range of Italian cuisine
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and timely meal service
- Oversee food preparation, including chopping vegetables, meat, and preparing sauces
- Monitor food quality and presentation to ensure consistency and customer satisfaction
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation regulations
- Create new menu items and specials based on seasonal ingredients and customer preferences
- Manage inventory levels and order supplies as needed
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in a restaurant or similar culinary environment
- Strong knowledge of meal preparation techniques and culinary terminology
- Proficiency in using kitchen equipment and tools
- Familiarity with food safety regulations
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and a passion for creating visually appealing dishes
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Chef for a minimum of five years is essential
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
