Depot General Manager
£55,000 – £65,000 + performance bonus

If you’re an experienced logistics leader who wants to take ownership of a depot’s performance, people and results, this role will suit you.
Dash Logistix is a busy and growing South‑West logistics operator. As Depot General Manager, you’ll take responsibility for how our flagship depot in Redruth runs day‑to‑day — operationally, financially, and from a people perspective.
This is a hands‑on leadership role. You’ll be expected to take accountability for performance, solve problems quickly, and build a team that delivers consistently.
What the job actually involves
You’ll be responsible for running the depot properly — not just overseeing it.
That includes:
- Making sure deliveries and collections run on time and to standard
- Leading multi‑drop, trunking, and 2‑person delivery operations
- Driving performance across KPIs, service levels, and customer outcomes
- Taking ownership of costs, budgets, and financial performance
- Improving efficiency, productivity, and resource planning
- Managing fleet availability, vehicle compliance, and downtime
- Ensuring health & safety standards are consistently met
- Acting as the escalation point for operational or service issues
- Using data and reporting to identify and deliver improvements
This is not a role where you sit back and report — you’ll be expected to lead from the front and fix issues when they arise.
People leadership
You’ll be leading a mixed team of managers, drivers, and warehouse staff.
That means:
- Setting clear expectations and holding people accountable
- Coaching, developing, and improving performance
- Building a positive, high‑standard culture
- Managing recruitment, onboarding, and staffing levels
- Keeping agency reliance under control
- Ensuring routes are properly resourced every day
What we’re looking for
This role is for someone who understands logistics operations and wants full responsibility.
You’ll need:
- Experience managing at a senior level in transport, logistics or warehousing
- Strong understanding of delivery operations and depot management
- Commercial awareness — comfortable managing budgets and performance
- The ability to lead people, influence others, and make decisions
- A practical, hands‑on approach to solving problems
- A full UK driving licence
Most importantly, you’ll take ownership. You won’t wait to be told what to do.
