Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. Duties
- Assist the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to schedules.
- Supervise and motivate kitchen staff, fostering a positive team environment while maintaining high standards of performance.
- Prepare, cook, and present a variety of dishes in line with menu specifications and quality standards.
- Oversee food production processes, ensuring consistency, freshness, and presentation of all dishes served.
- Monitor food safety practices and hygiene standards in compliance with health regulations.
- Manage stock levels, order supplies as needed, and minimise waste through efficient utilisation of ingredients.
- Support training programmes for junior staff members to develop their culinary skills and knowledge.
- Collaborate with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service delivery and guest satisfaction.
- Assist in menu planning and development to reflect current trends and customer preferences.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a similar role within a busy restaurant or hospitality environment.
- Supervising experience with the ability to lead and manage a team effectively.
- Extensive knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and presentation skills.
- Strong understanding of food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask under pressure.
- Good communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and management.
- Previous experience in food production, restaurant service, or hospitality is highly desirable.
