About the Role
As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play an important role in supporting children’s learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and Ofsted requirements.
You will work closely with colleagues, parents, and carers to ensure every child receives high-quality care, learning opportunities, and individual support.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality care and education for children aged 0–5 years
- Support children’s learning and development in accordance with the EYFS framework
- Create a safe, welcoming, and stimulating learning environment
- Observe, assess, and record children’s progress accurately
- Plan engaging activities that support children’s individual interests and developmental needs
- Promote safeguarding, health, safety, and wellbeing at all times
- Build positive relationships with parents, carers, and professionals
- Ensure the nursery environment meets Ofsted standards and statutory requirements
- Support children’s emotional wellbeing, behaviour, and inclusion
- Maintain confidentiality and professional standards at all times
- Work effectively as part of a team to deliver outstanding childcare provision
Requirements
We are looking for individuals who:
- Hold a relevant Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification (preferred)
- Have knowledge of the EYFS statutory framework
- Understand safeguarding and child protection responsibilities
- Have a caring, nurturing, and positive attitude
- Are reliable, enthusiastic, and committed to high standards of childcare
- Can work well independently and as part of a team
- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
