We are seeking a passionate, motivated, hard working, well organised and experienced individual to become our next OFSTED Registered Manager in one of our children's homes. Role Description:
- To be responsible for the full range of activities involved in managing a children’s home reflecting the social care common inspection framework and working in line with the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards
- To positively shape the future of young people in our care
- To ensure that the safety and well-being of each child is at the heart of everyday practice in the home
- To lead in the provision of a safe and homely environment
Responsibilities
- Promote the safeguarding and the welfare of the children in the home, ensuring that educational, physical health & emotional well-being needs are identified & met
- ·To establish a day-to-day culture of working practice that achieve the best outcomes for children in a safe and secure environment
- To lead, manage and develop your staff team
- Provide support & care to our children & young people
- Ensure that staff follow individual care plans
- Develop and maintain relationships with external organisations
- To ensure you and your team work within legislation and governance and company policies and procedures
- Manage physical, financial and human resources effectively whilst ensuring that key tasks are fulfilled
- Complete Level 5 in Children's Residential Leadership & Management (this is paid for by the company and you are given support by our leadership team and time towards completing your studies during your working week)
Requirements:
- Essential: Knowledge of Children's Home Regulations
- Essential: Minimum 4 years' Experience within residential child care sector
- Preferred: Level 5 NVQ/Diploma in Residential Management & Leadership
- Preferred: Experience as Ofsted registered manager
- Prefered: Ofsted rating of Good / Outstanding
- Strong Written & IT skills
- Good organisational skills
- Able to confidently lead a team
You will be required to help lead and develop your team and to set an example to others.
The role will also include supporting education, leading and attending meetings with staff and professionals, assisting with training and development of the staff team and reporting to the leadership management team.
The role will be contracted to a minimum of 40 hours per week
Successful applicants will only be given a formal offer after receipt of a satisfactory DBS and references are received.
Pay: £45,000.00-£60,000.00 per year
