Overview:
We are seeking a skilled laborer to join our team. As a skilled laborer, you will be responsible for assisting with various tasks on construction sites and ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and to high standards. This is a physically demanding role that requires attention to detail and the ability to work well in a team.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the setup and cleanup of construction sites
- Perform basic construction tasks, such as measuring, cutting, and installing materials
- Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Assist with concrete pouring, brickwork & blockwork
-Assist with installing steel / concrete lintels
-Assist in erecting & dismantling propping equipment
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment
- Collaborate with the team to complete projects on time and within budget
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in construction or a related field is essential
- Strong knowledge of construction tools, equipment, and materials
- Ability to read construction drawings and follow instructions accurately
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Ability to work away from home when required
